O’Neal Comprehensive Cancer Center featured in Birmingham City Schools commercial

The O’Neal Comprehensive Cancer Center’s Cancer Training & Career Development Office is proud to partner with Birmingham City Schools and Birmingham Promise to support young researchers like Kamari Marzette, who is featured in a recent commercial filmed in Wallace Tumor Institute.

The Birmingham City Schools commercial has been shown during prominent recent broadcasts such as the Super Bowl and the Grammy Awards.

Marzette was a participant in Cancer Research Training and Education Coordination (CRTEC) summer internships, which allowed her to gain real-life research experience working in O’Neal Cancer Center labs. Her success in these endeavors has now carried though to her undergraduate academic career.

O’Neal CRTEC provides several opportunities for training for students from middle school to postdoctoral. We are looking forward to continuing to support Kamari and students like her to advance their knowledge in cancer research and beyond.
