Breast Cancer Research Foundation of Alabama awards $320,000 in funding to O’Neal Cancer Center members
The Breast Cancer Research Foundation of Alabama recently awarded $320,000 in funding to two researchers at the O’Neal Cancer Center.
Courtney Williams, DrPH, assistant professor in the Division of Preventive Medicine, received a Pre-R01 grant for her project, Identifying Ideal Reimbursement “Dose” to Reduce Clinical Trial-Related Financial Toxicity.
Anna Sorace, Ph.D., associate professor in the Departments of Radiology and Biomedical Engineering, received a Pre-R01 grant for her project, PDL1-Targeted Theranostic Approaches to Enhance Combination Therapy in TNBC.
“The BCRFA is proud to fund these projects as we continue our legacy of driving breast cancer breakthroughs across Alabama,” said Beth Davis, BCRFA president and CEO.
The Breast Cancer Research Foundation of Alabama funds proposals that accelerate breast cancer research in Alabama. Since its founding in 1996, the organization has invested nearly $14 million in cutting-edge breast cancer research initiatives across the state.
